Learning by Doing
School clean-ups provide students with a complete educational program where they learn about the environment and sustainability through hands-on work.
The project is linked to the national curriculum (LK20) and its interdisciplinary topics: sustainable development, democracy and citizenship, and public health and life skills. Students work toward concrete learning objectives across several subjects while gaining experience with collaboration, responsibility, and community participation.
The results are thoroughly documented — both to show what has been removed from nature and to create learning that lasts.

Siden oppstarten har over 20 000 elever og lærere deltatt i Prosjekt Skolerydding.
Aktiviteten kan knyttes til kompetansemål i flere fag, blant annet naturfag, samfunnsfag, kroppsøving, matematikk og norsk.
Elevene arbeider med problemstillinger knyttet til natur, forbruk, avfall og samfunn, og erfaringene fra ryddearbeidet kan brukes videre i undervisningen gjennom observasjon, registrering av funn, refleksjon og formidling.Siden oppstarten har over 20 000 elever og lærere deltatt i Prosjekt Skolerydding.
Hvordan fungerer det for skolen?
Skolerydding gjennomføres som en uteskoledag der elever rydder i fjæra eller i andre naturområder i nærheten av skolen.
Stiftelsen Vårt Hav fasiliterer programmet og tilbyr et ferdig opplegg som gjør det enkelt for skoler å delta. Skolene får tilgang til struktur, veiledning og nettressurser som kan brukes i planleggingen av ryddeaksjonen og i undervisningen i forkant og etterkant.
I forbindelse med ryddeaksjonen får skolene:

Ryddeutstyr som sekker, hansker og refleksvester

Organisering av avfallshåndtering

Veiledning i planlegging og gjennomføring

Lenker til relevante undervisningsressurser
Skoler kan også ta kontakt dersom de ønsker foredrag, fasilitering eller støtte til transport eller mat i forbindelse med ryddeaksjonen.
